1. Create a Meta Developer App

ZeroRTO communicates directly with Meta's official Graph API endpoints with zero third-party intermediaries:

1. Log in to the Meta for Developers console.
2. Click My Apps > Create App.
3. Select Other > Click Next > Choose Business as the app type.
4. Enter your App Name (e.g. MyStore ZeroRTO Engine) and link your official Meta Business Account.
5. In the App Dashboard products list, locate WhatsApp and click Set Up.

3. Why You Must Generate a Permanent System User Token

Do not use the temporary 24-hour test token displayed on the API Setup screen:

Steps to Generate:

1. Go to Meta Business Settings.
2. In the left sidebar, click Users > System Users.
3. Click Add > Name the user ZeroRTO Engine > Set Role to Admin.
4. Click Assign Assets > Choose WhatsApp Accounts > Select your brand number > Enable Full Control (Manage WhatsApp Account) > Save.
5. Click Generate New Token > Select your App > Set Token Expiration to Never.
6. Check the following two permissions:
   • whatsapp_business_messaging
   • whatsapp_business_management
7. Click Generate Token and copy the token immediately.

4. Configure Inside ZeroRTO

1. In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to ZeroRTO > WhatsApp Cloud API tab.
2. Paste your 15-digit Phone Number ID.
3. Paste your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) ID.
4. Paste your Permanent Access Token (starts with EAAG...).
5. Enter your approved template name (e.g. rescuedrop_ndr_alert) and language code (e.g. en_US).
6. Click Save All Settings.
